It seems like music is the only way I can escape

I'm scared to death to show my back in case my friends may have a knife
Yea in other words I trust no one
Especially now that Adamite's become someone
I mean I want to make a living off of rap but Im terrified
Of losing everything what a sacrifice

See when I started making music that was suited for my pain
I knew that I was creating a beautiful escape
My family supported me in more ways than one
Gave me hope that I'd make it out and go places some day
But that was long ago
Before I ever had the fans and the hardest flow
And yes, success will bring haters but a heart of gold
Will keep you from taking it personally when you're on the go
There's so many things I wish that I could teach you today
But most of all it is experience that keeps you in place
Keep your feet on the ground if you're feeling it out
And learn to never second guess if there's a feeling of doubt
Cause your intuition, is all you ever really have
So you've gotta learn to hone it if you want this really bad
Cause people, they will try to shake you
